Maluti Adventist Hospital Achieves Five-Star Rating in National Assessment

Maluti Adventist Hospital has once again achieved a five-star rating in the Ministry of Health’s Star Rating Assessment for Semester 2 of 2025, which was conducted in January 2026.
The hospital attained an impressive score of 97.36%, improving from its Semester 1 score of 96.64%, where it also received a five-star rating. This achievement placed Maluti Adventist Hospital among the top-performing healthcare institutions in the country, outperforming eighteen other hospitals assessed during the exercise.
The Star Rating Assessment evaluates hospitals across four key performance areas: Management and Staff Performance, Service Charter and Accountability, Safe and Conducive Facilities, and Quality of Care. It is conducted twice a year by the Ministry of Health to promote continuous quality improvement, accountability, and strengthened healthcare service delivery across health facilities.
The consistent improvement in performance reflects the dedication of hospital staff and management in maintaining high standards of patient care and service delivery. The assessment also recognises efforts to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff, strengthen accountability systems, and improve overall healthcare service quality.
Due to this strong performance, Maluti Adventist Hospital received a grant to support healthcare service improvement initiatives. Through this support, the hospital was able to procure reception desks, UPS systems for the laboratory, an emergency crash trolley, and aluminium partitioning at the pharmacy to enhance patient privacy during medication collection.
This achievement marks another important milestone for Maluti Adventist Hospital and highlights its continued commitment to providing quality healthcare services to the communities it serves.
